International Collabrations

NITTE (Deemed to be University) has developed international collaborations with over 20 Universities and Institutes across the globe. These collaborations have led to development of joint research projects funded though International Cooperation Division of Department of Science and Technology (eg. Indo-Norway, Indo-Belgium) or though funding agencies in partner countries (eg. Swedish International Development Agency, National Environmental Research Council of UK).

Institutional Social Responsibility

From setting up the first psychiatric centre to address the mental health needs of rural Karnataka, to addressing the specific oral healthcare needs of special children, to setting up a geriatric day care centre at the hospital premises, at Nitte a strong sense of social responsibility marks all our activities.

NereKere Kshema where about 1000 homes which are below poverty line receive healthcare, housing and employment benefits and Grama Kshema, where students of our medical and dental colleges, under faculty supervision, look after the healthcare needs of a community, are just two of our projects as a socially responsible University.
