Workshop on solar lighting and water heater - MRPITI

A 3-day workshop was organized at M R Punja Industrial Training Institute, Tapovana, Thokur jointly in association with Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Rural Energy and Development (MGIRED) and Selco Foundation, Bangalore on 26th February 2019.

In his inaugural speech, Mr. Prabhakar Shenoy, Senior Advisor of Bharathiya Vikas Trust, Manipal said, "Solar energy is an important source of renewable energy and the development of affordable, inexhaustible and clean solar energy technologies will have huge long-term benefits".

The Chief Guest, Sri Manohar Katgeri, Chief Task Manager of Bharathiya Vikas Trust, emphasised on the advantages of solar energy and encouraged the use of solar power.

Mr. Laxmikanth, Training Officer, in his presidential address highlighted the use of solar energy. Mr. Sharan Acharya of II E.M recited the prayer. Mr. Wilfred John Mathias, J.T.O anchored the program. Mr.Suresh S, JTO proposed the vote of thanks.

The staff , students, NSS & Rover volunteers participated in the program.
